The Arkansas chapter of the League of the South held a public flag rally on March 10th 2018 in Camden Arkansas on a public sidewalk. The purpose of this event was to remind others of our distinct Southern culture and way of life by flying the flags that represent our people. This event was comprised of mostly men and women who reside in the Camden Arkansas area. These men and women felt that Camden, with its historical significance in Southern Arkansas, should be reminded of their culture and the beliefs that their ancestors held dear. The signs at the rally read “WE DEFEND OUR SOUTHERN HEROES” The Arkansas League of the South wants to remind people that the League of the South is one of the few organizations that take a pro-active stance in defense of the monuments that were placed by our ancestors to serve as a perpetual reminder of the ideals that our people shed their precious blood for. We also had signs that read “SECEDE”, as we maintain the beliefs that most all southern people’s ancestors had, of a free and independent South as an option provided by the constitution.
The League of the South is a Southern nationalist organization, headquartered in Killen, Alabama, whose ultimate goal is “a free and independent Southern republic.” The League defines the Southern United States as the states that make up the Confederate States of America. While political independence ranks highly among our goals, we are also a religious and social movement, advocating a return to a more traditional, conservative Christian-oriented Southern culture. Founded in 1994 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, we are the premier Southern nationalist organization. We work to secure the survival, well-being, and independence of the Southern people. We have chapters in every Southern State and members in all 50 States plus Canada and Europe.
We envision the States peacefully and lawfully exercising their Right of self-determination and withdrawing from the present union dominated by an aggressive, centralised federal government. The South as its own nation is more than powerful, populous, and prosperous enough to assume its place among the nations of the earth today.
For the South, cultural as well as political secession is the only practical, the only realistic, and the only moral choice.
